RoadVista to provide the industry's most comprehensive selection of advanced retroreflection-measurement instrumentation
Gamma Scientific's Highway-Safety Division and Advanced Retro Technology, two leading manufacturers of highway-safety measurement instrumentation, today announced they will merge to create RoadVista, a new global force in the highway-safety industry. Through this merger, effective immediately, RoadVista becomes the largest, most comprehensive supplier of retroreflection-measurement instrumentation in the marketplace. Headquartered in San Diego, California, with offices in Boston, Massachusetts and Baltimore, Maryland, the company will be managed by Gamma Scientific. Gamma Scientific will continue marketing advanced light-measurement instrumentation for other commercial and scientific marketplaces under the Gamma Scientific brand. Advanced Retro Technology will be fully absorbed into RoadVista.
RoadVista will be marketed as a "one-stop shopping" resource that provides solutions for virtually every retroreflection-measurement need and budget. Products cover everything from handheld instruments and mobile systems to lab instruments and production-line systems. Photometric range calibrations are available as well.
Richard Austin, president of Gamma Scientific, who will lead RoadVista, commented, "I am very excited about the prospects for RoadVista. Customers of both companies will benefit from a greater selection of products, accelerated product innovation and even higher levels of customer service."
RoadVista also strives to be synonymous with the highest levels of accuracy and repeatability as well as with low uncertainty. "We are the world's only supplier of retroreflectometers traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)," Austin Continued. "NIST is an agency of the United States Department of Commerce's Technology Administration, and it speaks volumes to the accuracy and repeatability of our instrumentation. Of course, our retroreflectometers adhere to a full range of ASTM and international standards as well."
RoadVista also places a high premium on customer service. "Because RoadVista products are manufactured in San Diego, California, customers will be assured ultra-fast turnaround on standard orders, calibrations and repairs," Austin explained. "Plus our extensive North American and international support network stands ready to provide first-class service, training and consultation."
